After
an early start and journey to Sheffield, Otliensians seemed to take some
time to wake up which Sheffield seemed to take advantage of. Sheffield
dominated play and yet again Otliensians found themselves defending heavily
for the first quarter of the game>>

- 0 Halifax 3rd XI
Otliensians
2nd team faced Halifax on Saturday in their first home game back since
Christmas needing a win. Otliensians started the game well with excellent
attacking play from the forwards who linked well with throughout the game>>

surprised themselves by taking the lead in the first two minutes with a
Hannah Holmes knock in. However, Harrogate were quick to respond and with

a weeks' break, Otliensians travelled to Wakefield for a top of the table
clash. Wakefield applied pressure from the start making hard work for Otliensians'
defence. Despite the opposition determination to keep the play in Otliensians'
defence, Otliensians looked threatening on the break and were unlucky not

last season's heavy defeat to Halifax, Otliensians faced the match with
some trepidation but after an unconventional warm up, attitudes changed
to those of grit and determination>> |

The
flowing play from previous weeks eluded Otliensians in the first half, where
they struggled to find their form. Acomb capitalised on this and opened
the scoresheet. Slowly Otliensians put some well worked passes through the
field to put some pressure back on Acomb>> |

Otliensians
approached their first home league match with the same positive attitude
as the previous week. Their early pressure paid off with a well stuck penalty
corner strike from Dani Cox. With two key players missing due to running
the Great Northern Run the next day, Otliensians' midfield players showed

played their first league match away against York St Johns and began nervously
having only eight players on pitch due to being delayed by poor traffic.Otliensians
